That's why I was astonished to see so many"no"votes. There were reports earlier in the Mut 24 coins week that some players wanted to alter their vote, but the Madden 24 Players Association refused their request. However,it was also believed that the majority of these players were looking to change their vote by changing it from"no"into"yes,"once they had more information about the CBA.Too many players were initially"iMadden"NFL attracted by the voice of the players on social media, and I think that once they started to investigate the CBA for themselves, they wanted to change their votes. Then again, according to Benjamin Allbright,it wouldn't have mattered at all: Re:Madden 24 CBAI'm told that the percentage of players who asked to switch their vote was in the teens and"wouldn't be a factor in"what was the end tally.Far more worrying was the fact that around 20%of the eligible voters didn't cast a ballot. The best leverage players have in all this is the chance of being forced to leave games.I'm the only person with a unique view of thisbecause I was part of the 2011 lockout and CBA discussions.Players claimed they'd be in a position to hold out for an entire season. When they began to look forward to the start of training camp, players gave up.Players needed money. They had taken out high-interest loans or were running out of cash when the season was getting closer. They wanted to negotiate, and that meant settling for less. Although it is true that the Madden 24PA has been encouraging players for a few years to be financially secure in the event of an unplanned strike, keep in mind the words I used to describe:a majority of Madden 24 team is not a rank-and file. They're not ready for a standoff. They have not put money back, some because they're young and/or don't have the capacity to.Some veterans who are able to talk on the big stage aren't prepared to take on that. It's something that's always a concern during the negotiations. There is no way to be 100%content with a contract for labor In any negotiation the other side will have to give a little and take a bit. This being said,I'd voted yes for this CBA although I am aware of its weaknesses. Money is the thing owners care about. They don't care about less practice time or less testing for street drugs, and that's why they were willing to surrender these points.
